Main areas of clinical interest:

Jenny Grew brings genuine warmth and many years of experience in healthcare and clinical leadership to her work as a counsellor, offering evidence-based therapy with a collaborative approach.  She offers individual therapy to adults over 18.

Clearer self-understanding and a growing sense of steadiness and self-compassion are just some of the things Jenny hopes her clients will gain through their work together.

Whether a problem feels too big or too small, too shameful or too complicated, Jenny has a gentle way of helping to break things down and find some much-needed perspective. She understands that people often arrive at therapy after trying many things already, feeling stuck and disconnected from what matters most.

For Jenny, healing begins in relationship, first with a safe and trusting one between therapist and client.

With a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Jenny draws on a range of approaches, including:

Therapy with Jenny is a genuinely collaborative process. She works with each client to shape goals and a way of working that suits them, and uses regular client feedback to check that therapy is making a difference and to guide any change in approach.

When working one-on-one, Jenny takes a systemic view, staying curious about the relationships, families and communities that shape a person’s life. She is currently undertaking advanced training in family therapy to deepen this way of working.

When faith and spirituality matter to a client, Jenny welcomes their place in the room. With a Christian background of her own, she understands how faith shapes us, and is open and respectful when clients want to bring it into their therapy.
