Our online couples therapy sessions provide a professional and secure environment to explore the dynamics of your relationship. We utilise internationally recognised frameworks to assist you and your partner in building deeper understanding and more secure emotional connections.
Online sessions via secure video conferencing: flexible, convenient, and private.
Identify the repetitive cycles that trigger tension and learn practical strategies to communicate more effectively during challenging or emotional moments.
Explore the underlying needs within your relationship to foster a sense of security, allowing both partners to feel heard and supported.
Receive clinical guidance as you manage significant changes, such as parenthood, career shifts, or external stressors that impact your partnership.
Work within a structured therapeutic framework to address past hurts and develop the transparency needed to rebuild a resilient foundation together.
Modern life often places significant pressure on relationships, making it difficult to find time for dedicated support. Online couples therapy removes the logistical barriers of travel and scheduling, allowing you to prioritise your relationship from a comfortable and private space. Whether you are seeking to repair a specific issue or simply want to strengthen your bond, our clinicians provide a tailored approach to suit your partnership.
Our practitioners are specifically trained in relationship science, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). We do not simply offer advice; we work with you to understand the emotional patterns that shape your interactions. By focusing on the “cycle” rather than blaming individuals, we help couples move toward lasting change. All sessions are conducted via secure, encrypted platforms to ensure your privacy is maintained to the highest professional standards.
With warmth, wit and compassion, Our ‘Come Closer’ Course presents six science-backed strategies in eight bite-sized video lessons which couples can apply immediately to COME CLOSER to each other today and every day.
Each video lesson is also accompanied by a simple, practical exercise you can complete with your partner, if you choose, to strengthen and reinforce your learning.
There are no cringey, weird instructions or overly dramatic case studies, just evidence-based tools and tips communicated with authenticity and clarity.
We invite you to join us – with your partner or on your own – as we share our favourite ways to COME CLOSER today.
This can also be a great way to get to know us, or introduce your partner to the idea of relationship therapy in a fun, easy, low-pressure way.

Online therapy is an effective option for many Australians seeking flexible support. It is often well-suited for:
Professionals managing demanding work schedules
Individuals residing in rural or regional areas with limited local options
Those who prefer the privacy of their own home environment
People requiring specialised care that is not accessible within their immediate vicinity
Sessions are conducted via secure video conferencing. Both partners can join from the same location or from separate ones if travel or work requires it. Your clinician will guide the conversation to ensure both voices are heard within a professional and balanced therapeutic environment.
In early sessions, we’ll assess the level of conflict and safety in your relationship and work collaboratively with you to determine the best way forward. If our service is not suitable for you, we’ll provide you with recommendations for alternative supports.
Beyond the convenience of no travel time, many couples find they are more relaxed and open when engaging in therapy from their own home. This comfort can lead to more genuine interactions and a smoother transition of the strategies learned into your daily life.
Yes, each of our current therapists has over a decade of professional experience working in a range of settings and with a variety of presentations. All of our therapists are registered mental health professionals who have completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies in psychology, counselling or mental health. All are required to maintain their experience through regular professional development, including training and professional supervision. All of our therapists also have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy – a gold-standard treatment for relationship and family work.
Yes, as registered health professionals our therapists are required by their registering bodies to use evidence-based therapies in their practice. This means the techniques and strategies they use with you in therapy must have been shown in research to have a beneficial effect for the specific problems or challenges you’re bringing to therapy. No snake oil or quackery allowed.
Your initial consultation is focused on understanding your current challenges and personal history. We will discuss your goals for therapy and determine the most appropriate clinical approach for your needs. This session is an opportunity for us to establish a professional foundation and ensure you feel comfortable with the online environment.
We utilise high level, healthcare grade encryption for all video consultations to ensure your data and conversations remain confidential. We recommend that you join your session from a private, quiet location where you will not be interrupted, and use a secure internet connection rather than public Wi-Fi.
We are a privately billing clinic and each of our therapists charge different rates for their different services. Some services are eligible for a rebate under Medicare, DVA or private health insurance funding (with a valid referral or fund membership). Given this, it is best to enquire directly with our administrator, Marie. She can let you know the specific cost for the services you require, as well as any rebates which may apply. Taking rebates into account, fees for our services vary between $140-$350 per session, depending on what you need.
No. As mental health professionals, we work hard to follow all appropriate ethical codes and professional standards. We will never, under any circumstances, enforce any religious or spiritual beliefs, practices, judgements or opinions upon you.
We seek to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you explore your spiritual and psychological needs through therapy.
At Connections Count you will be loved, respected and challenged to move towards wholeness, in alignment with your own values and worldview. We would be honoured to journey with you in support of your healing and growth.
